COURSE

  1. Am I ready for BASE jumping?
  2. Is BASE jumping really so dangerous?
    YES.
BASE jumping is very dangerous. Therefore, we will do everything to minimize this risk:
    - we provide necessary information, instructions, training and care
    - we will check the equipment and help in choosing the right one
    - we take everyone to the most secure places in Europe
Remember that BASE equipment is different from the one used for jumping from an airplane.
Always use dedicated BASE jumping equipment.
    Remember, however, that ....
BASE jumping is a very dangerous and extreme sport. Even if you do everything in accordance with the instructions and you have extensive experience, there is a chance of accident or death. Even if your equipment is functional, properly assembled and properly used, there is still the possibility of its incorrect operation. Nothing can give you 100% security. During course, the instructor will give the best information on what he knows and need to do BASE jumps safely.
REMEMBER, THAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY AFTER LEAVING THE OBJECT.
  3. Do I have to have required 300+ jumps from the plane?
Our course puts quite high demands, often higher than the others. However, it is aimed at people who do not want to make one jump (FJC course), but develop in every aspect. We try to pass a lot of knowledge.
The most common cases of accidents at BASE jumpers are lack of aerial awareness and lack of landing skills, which unfortunately come from a small number of jumps from the plane.
  4. How much does the course cost?
The total cost of the course is 1500 euros. This does not take into account travel costs, accommodation, food, taxi, etc.
  5. Reimbursement in case of bad weather, injury, failure to appear etc.
In the case of bad weather, it is possible to complete the course on a different date (no fee, of course).
In the event of an injury or non-appearance, we do not return the money paid.
  6. How long does it take for the course?
Our course takes a full 14 days and is the longest you can find. It takes so much because of the amount of information and full preparation for the safest way to do this sport. This is not a FJC course, but full of information, intensive and comprehensive preparation for an amazing adventure.
  7. How many jumps will I make during the course?
    Croatia ~ 15
    Italy ~ 10
Everything depends on the weather and the group so the number of jumps is approximate.
The most important thing for us is your safety, so we will not leave Croatia if we are not sure that you are ready for a trip to Italy.
  8. Why is your BASE course so expensive?
Contrary to appearances, our course is not more expensive than others, and often cheaper. Especially if we take into account the time we devote to each participant. We do not take with us an overloaded group (max 2-3 students per instructor) and we are in both locations a sufficient number of days (more than other courses) to calmly jump to make the right number of jumps.
  9. I would like to take a course, but at a different time. Is it possible?
This is possible, especially if there is another willing person. In case of question, send an e-mail to olek@base.org.pl

EQUIPMENT

  1. Do I have to have my own parachute?
YES. If you need help choosing the equipment speak to us.
  2. Can I use my advanced tracksuit (Squirrel Sumo, Power Suit, Tube, Squirrel Sausage etc.)?
Tracking suit is an outfit that, when properly used, allows you to fly away from the object from which you jump off and open the parachute at a safe distance.
Nowadays, large tracking suits require a lot of BASE and skydive experience, so for starters you will definitely jump without such outfit, gradually using classic tracking suits to use a larger one in the future.
Big track suit = a big problem. The same applies to the later adventure with wingsuit.
